The Urban Mobile Robotics project offers solutions to small and medium-sized robotics companies and startups to drive new sustainable innovations as well as promote their competitiveness and growth. The purpose of the project is to promote the SMEs' business opportunities, marketability, and RDI expertise by providing improved development and operating platforms, expert resources, and new RDI collaboration possibilities. The goal of the project is to build and operate a brand-new testbed in an authentic urban environment which will benefit all operators in the robotics field.
The project will help companies identify new business opportunities and improve their efficiency through AI solutions.
The project will create new products and services, tested operating models, and concepts for innovative robotics ecosystemsthat can be implemented in a large scale in different cities, industries, and future RDI projects.
The project aims to improve the overall competitiveness and expertise of SMEs in the field of urban robotics, as well as promote the implementation of new sustainable business solutions. The operating models and network of professionals created during the project will continue to benefit new RDI innovations and increase the appeal of the field for new professionals.
Do you know how to think like an investor? Can you secure funding for your projects?
Do you know how to think like an investor? Can you secure funding for your projects? The barrier for many technological innovations isn’t a poor product, but rather a message that fails to meet investor expectations. The Urban Mobile Robotics project organized a workshop where we moved from theory to practice: participants learned how to build a convincing pitch deck for investors and navigate the jungle of public funding.
In this workshop, companies drafted an investor pitch deck and public funding applications under the guidance of Lauri Kokkila (Inventure.VC) and Antti Liljaniemi (Metropolia).
The project will include pilot projects, workshops, technology surveys, and development experiments using digital tools, artificial intelligence, data analytics, professional networking, and collaborative working methods.
The pilot projects will be conducted in an authentic urban environment, which will provide the participants with tangible results, new skills, and a possibility to develop marketable robotics solutions to actual urban and environmental challenges.
Metropolia's Robo Garage workshop will assist the companies with their pilot projects.
Our communications will emphasize activeness, expertise, and effectiveness.
